Work Accidents

The work place can be a dangerous place. It is worth remembering that although it is the responsibility of your employer to look after you, if you are careless then you will not be able to make an accident at work claim.

It is also worth considering how difficult things might be if you do get an injury at work. Not only will there be the hassle of finding a solicitor and taking the company to court and also the stress of knowing whether you will win the case, you will also have a lot more inconvenience. You may be badly injured and not be able to work so you may lose income, you may have medical expenses to pay for and other costs which could lead to financial problems. You will also not be able to get out and about and do all the things that you normally would, which could be pretty annoying. You may even have trouble looking after your house and family and even caring for yourself.

Many people think that being careless at work is okay because they can just make a compensation claim if they get injured. It is worth remembering that if the courts thought you were being careless, then you would not be awarded any money. It is also worth considering how nasty the pain and inconvenience will be. Money can never make up for pain and you will may have considerable pain, depending on the type of injury that you have. You also need to consider that if you are careless at work then you may cause other people to get injured as well as yourself as this is not fair at all. You would not want to be responsible for that, it would not be fair to those people or their families.
