I am Tina. I am a wife to Bill and a mother to three boys namely: Allen, Jason and Tom - all of whom tell me that they want to be sports psychologists in the future. You see, my boys are all into sports. Their dad plays with them a lot. They play basketball, badminton and billiards. It is their way of bonding together. Nothing compares to the joy I feel every time I look at all of them having a good time. God must love me so much to give me such a wonderful family. Being the only girl in the house, I automatically merit being queen, and being queen is great! It means I get what I want almost all the time. When they fight, all I need to do is raise my hand and they stop right away. I have to commend my husband for instilling in our kids the value of respect, especially for women. They are growing up so fast and I'm sure that soon, they'll have other women in their lives apart from me. But for the meantime, let me just enjoy my reign. |

Margie has just arrived from Dubai, where she worked for at least three years. Aside from her immediate family, some of her close friends also went to the airport to welcome her back. It is a good thing that Margie remembered to pick some presents for friends so that she has something to give them. From the airport, everyone proceeded to Margie's place for lunch. Margie could not believe that she was finally home and that she was in fact sharing lunch with her loved ones. I have missed this terribly. You just don't know how happy I am today to be home. Her mom stood up and approached Margie, kissed her and said, Well, we have missed you, too. No words could express my joy now, to see you here again. I hope you don't ever have to go away again. Don't worry, mom. I am here to stay. As soon as everyone heard Margie's announcement, they all cheered. Margie's dad then stood up and proposed a toast for her daughter. Welcome home, Margie. Cheers! |

Sheila will soon be ten years old and her parents want to give her the perfect present fit for a good girl like her. Aside from her birthday, her parents want to reward her for making good marks in school. As a matter of fact, Sheila recently topped all the diagnostic tests administered to her batch. She scored highest in English, Math and Science subjects. Her parents could not complain anymore when it comes to Sheila's diligence in school. That's why they want to reward her for all her efforts. For the past two weeks, her mom has been looking around for possible birthday presents for girls age 10, like Sheila. Aside from a grand party, where all her friends will be invited, they know that a brand new computer set will surely make her smile. And so, a few days before the grand celebration, Sheila's parents purchased a computer set complete with a colored printer and brand new speakers, too. When Sheila opened it on her birthday, she was very happy that she hugged her mom and dad so tightly. |

So what's your New Year's resolution? For me, I'm going to buy a bike and take up cycling. I've not ridden a bike since my childhood, so I'll need to get used to the whole idea of cycling first before I take myself on the roads. I've bought myself some sprintdesign jerseys and I'm looking forward to wearing them when speeding down the roads on my bike.
I'm actually in pretty good shape at the moment - I do swim 3 or 4 times a week and have done so for the last few years, but I do find it a bit boring to be honest. So I want to augment my swimming with cycling - and cycle to the pool and back (a 10km round trip) - there's plenty of hills between my house and the pool so that will put my legs and lungs to the test! |
