My daughter suddenly had a high fever and for the next three days had to skip class due to her condition. I didn't think she will be struck down with Dengue until I took her to the doctor for a checkup. Fortunately, her medical insurance covered the cost of her consultation and blood tests. Her platelets were already running low so we had to immediately confine her in the hospital.
I was confident that she would be able to get over this situation. With medical insurance, the hospital staff immediately attended to her needs and even gave her one of the best rooms available. I didn't have to worry about the cost of her hospital care because her insurance policy covered it. It was a grueling week for the whole family as we were worried about her condition. But having insurance sure helped eased some of the emotional burden that everyone of us was experiencing. |
