It is always sad to be walking down a street and see that people have used it as their own personal dumping ground. When it comes to smaller garbage it just shows peoples laziness. Most streets have garbage cans place along the street. They are easily accessable but people are just too lazy to hold on to their garbage for a couple steps to put it in the bins. What is really disturbing to see is when there is a little patch of green or park and people use it to dump everything that they want to get rid of. If we can't prevent these yobs from littering, then councils need to work harder to clean up after them - using technology like petrol pressure washers to clean up the graffiti and chewing gum and other nasty detritus. I understand that now you have to pay when you take your items to the dump to get rid of them but suck it up people! We made our own mess, and it costs to clean it up. |
